Recovery Art

An interesting accident happened on the way to the trash.... 

While attempting to rescue accientally deleted images off my camera's SD card using recovery software, I noticed that there were several files that were recovered, but could only be opened in Photoshop. On investigation, Photoshop recovered what looked to be like garbled images - the leftover digital pieces of what were once full images. Every time re-opened, a different configuration of color and form appeared. I decided to explore this curious accident, attempting to control the outcome by intentionally deleting photos, and then recovering. Some of the results you see below.
